Nina Carter

Nina J. Gunter Rankin Carter age 93 of Lenoir City passed away October 13, 2025 at her home. Nina was a member of Paw Paw Plains Baptist Church. She was a retired L.P.N. Nina loved shopping at the Good Neighbor Shop.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James "Bob" and Jessie Nance Gunter; husband of 40 years and father of her children, J. L. Rankin and husband of 8 years, Harry Carter; brother, Howard Eugene Gunter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lon Rankin and Jeanette Arden Rankin; brother-in-law, Edward "Bud" Rankin.

Survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Don Rankin (Carol), Jeff and Betty Rankin; grandson, Alan Rankin (Rachel); step granddaughter, Chasity Selby; great-grandsons, Connor and Braydon; great-granddaughter, Addison.

Friends may come by Click Funeral Home on Thursday, October 16th to pay their respects. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10 a.m. on Friday morning and proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 11 a.m. Rev. Bo Hughes will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
