Carson Pribble Obituary

Carson William Pribble

Carson William Pribble, 30, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Born in Salem, VA, on August 26, 1994, he was the son of William Leland Pribble and Robin Powers Pribble. He is survived by his parents; his sister, Kathryn (Kit) Alyssa Pribble and her wife, Ting Xu Tan; and his paternal grandfather, Leland Edward Pribble.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Edward Pribble; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Stinnett Pribble; his maternal grandparents, Kit Carson Powers and Dorothy Wilson Powers; and his very good boy beagle, Dobby.

Carson filled every room he walked into with laughter. Finding a photo where he isn't making a funny face was a challenge. Beneath the antics, he was thoughtful and nostalgic; he got attached to people and places easily and was a dedicated keeper of family traditions. He loved animals, especially dogs. He is missed by Luna, Littlefoot, and Kopi, who adored his expert head scratches and cuddles. We take comfort in knowing he is now with Dobby, Stormy, and Cain.

When he was younger, Carson played the guitar, skated, and was an active Boy Scout. His playlists included bands like Sublime, the Avett Brothers, and Avenged Sevenfold. He lifted weights and was always trying to create workout plans for his mom and sister (even when they didn't ask). He was a skilled card player who occasionally turned that talent to magic tricks to make his family laugh. He loved programming and could talk your ear off about building a PC. No family gathering or holiday was complete without his homemade schnitzel.

Unfortunately, many of these qualities faded or disappeared over the last few years of Carson's life. Like so many others, Carson suffered from addiction. If you are struggling with this disease, we urge you to seek help. Addiction takes and takes, and finally, it took everything from Carson. We will miss him every day for the rest of our lives.

Carson will be buried beside his brother in Mt. Pleasant UMC Cemetery. The family will hold a small private service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saving Grace Animals for Adoption NC, 13400 Old Creedmoor Rd., Wake Forest, NC.
