CARYN WEST Obituary
Those left to cherish her memories, her mother, Betty West, of Amherst; her son, Malachi Landrum; her fiance`, Kaaran Landrum, both of Chesapeake; sisters and brothers, Courtney (Jabariee Snead) West, of Lynchburg, Cory (Heidi) West, of Amherst, Marsha (Reza) Nikkoforsat, Louise Marshall and Odea (Karen) West, of Lynchburg and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Davis-Turner Funeral Service with Pastor Chris Mitchell, officiating. The interment will be Monday at 11:00 AM Briarwood Memorial Park. Condolences may be sent to www.Davis-Turner.com. Service of comfort rendered by Davis-Turner Funeral Service.

It took a while for me to write this. Caryn was my best friend and I miss her terribly. I miss our early morning conversations to work, our laughs together our cries together, and our vacation trips together. Life is not the same without you. Our days consistent with one another. A part of me is missing but what gives me strength is the people only you could have brought together. Your family and close friends. We help each other in this sad time. We all know that you were an angel on earth. You are in a better place now. We will all see you again. I Love you and I will always miss you.

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel about the loss of Caryn. She was such a wonderful person,and I'm so glad I got the chance to call her a friend. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Caryn:
She was such a wonderful, loving person who loved to laugh. I never heard her complain, even when I knew she was not feeling well. I am so glad I was able to know her. Thank you God for letting us have Caryn, even if but a short season. God, please watch over the family, and most especially her precious little boy. Malachi was her joy and she loved him with all of her being. She continues to live on, through him.

Caryn had a smile that could light up a room. She had a laugh that would touch your soul. Caryn will be remembered by the many people who were blessed to have her come into their lives if even for a moment. I keep thinking about your smile and the last time I saw you. That's what I'll always remember. I'm grateful that I was graced with your presence and spirit. God now needs you to make Him smile in person which is to be celebrated. It hurts that you left so soon but you impacted many in 32 years. May your son and family be comforted knowing the legacy you left was nothing short of amazing. You will be missed.

The West family are in the prayers of both myself and my husband. He didn't even know her yet he felt the pain of her passing. God tells us that we have a time here, but the best time will be with Him. The thought that she is with our Heavenly Father brings me such peace.

If you knew Caryn, you loved her! You just couldn't help but to want to be around her, she had this spirit about her that captivated any and everyone that came into contact with her. Caryn was a part of my GEICO family that helped me make it through my husband's long illness and recent passing. I could always depend on her caring words and uplifting spirit. She texted me after he died that when her Dad was in the last couple of months of his life he told her he would either get better on this side or on the other. GOD chose to make him better on the other side. HE chose the same for my husband. Now HE has chosen the same for Caryn. She was only with us a short time, but was able to enrich so many lives. We will miss you, Caryn.
