Cassidy Richardson Obituary
Born in Lynchburg, May 18, 2004, she was the daughter of Kimberly Blackburne Richardson and Kenneth Wayne Richardson, II. Cassidy was a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church. She is a graduate of Jefferson Forest High School where she was a member of the swim team. Cassidy was also a member of the Hill City Dolphins.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Cole Richardson of Concord; her grandparents, Gloria and Kenneth Richardson of Pamplin and Eva Blackburne of Lynchburg; aunts and uncles, Adele and Danny Richardson of Appomattox, Jamie and Matt Richardson of Midlothian and Krista and Troy Champney of Forest; and her boyfriend, Kaleb "Suga" Houston of Lynchburg.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Blackburne, and aunt, Angela Gail Blackburne.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Hyland Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Josh Carter, Pastor Brandon Baber, Rev. Carl Weiser, and Chaplain Jesse Koch officiating. Burial will be held at 4:30 p.m., in Piney Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Hyland Heights Baptist Church.

I will always remember Cassidy as a little girl at Thomas Jefferson Elementary sporting so much sparkle and bling in both her personality and her attire. This has knocked the wind out of me. I feel my heart breaking for Kenny, Kimberly, and Cole. Living a distance away I've not kept up with Cassidy's battle and assumed no news was good news, even reaching remission. She was a beautiful, heroic, young woman gone to soon. My deepest sympathies go out to my cousin Kenneth, his wife Kimberly, my Uncle and Aunt, Kenneth and Gloria Richardson. God has a new angel today. We will all reunite with you again someday.
