My Dad worked with Pete at the Post Office. I knew Pete from Sandusky Baptist Church. After my Dad passed, Pete shared stories about him with me. I really enjoyed hearing those! He was a bright light indeed! Prayers for Betty & the family.

To Pete´s family...
As a young child in the 70s Pete delivered mail to my grandparents house and I was always happy to see him...he was larger than life, always had a smile and kind word for me. Later on my husband and I had the pleasure of taking care of his lawn on Toledo. I´m so sorry for your loss....thinking of him and you guys today.

Betty, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. All of the stories you shared of you and Pete going to Charlotte to see Dennis, Diane, Ryan and Becky and the great times you shared; and Steve, Melinda, and Megan´s visits it was so clear how close you all are. Praying for comfort for all of you.
A friend from Nationwide,

I'll add a few things I'd like known about my dad. He served for many years as President of the Local Postal Carriers Union. He enjoyed surf fishing with his daughter-in-law, Diane. He loved going to the beach and eating steamed crabs and always looked forward to having his oyster stew on Christmas morning.
He was a powerful personality - totally devoted to his wife and sons, his country and his church.
He will be deeply missed.

Sorry to hear the news on "Pete". I recall that as a little boy on Wilson Ave he always stopped and chatted on his mail route . Later I lived close to him and had a few meals with him at the church. He was nice to everyone. Always a guy you enjoyed seeing. Hi to the family.
