David Harlen Thacker, 55, of 6328 Wards Road, Rustburg died on Monday, January 25, 2021 at his home. He was the husband of Dina Brown Thacker.
He was born August 16, 1965 in Lynchburg, a son of Ruth Carol Evans Kunkle and her husband, Jerry of Moneta and the late Robert Edward Thacker. David was the owner of HD MotorWorx.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Jackie Glass and her husband, Eric of Gladys and Karli Covington and her husband, Will of Arizona; one son, Harlen Cole Thacker of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Ella Glass, Ivy Glass, Hunter Covington and Ava Covington; and good friends, John Dearing of Lynchburg and Barry Elder of Madison Heights and his fiancé, Debbie Crabtree of Brookneal.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. Rodney Jackson with interment to follow in the Tree of Life Cemetery.
Viewing of David will be available from 12 until 9 p.m., Wednesday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista.
