David is also survived by his brother, Blaine Thomas (Diane) of Fredericksburg; sister, Tammy Tucker (Larry) of Amherst; sister, Janet Layne (Jeff) of Madison Heights; brother, Joe Thomas of Tyro; and an overabundance of extended family and friends.

Over the years I came to know this man as a real friend. Never judging. Always smiling and loving family, friends and community. It is, with a heavy heart, that I extend my deepest condolences to his family, both immediate and extended. A ton of great memories will be shared for decades to come, of the love and happiness he shared with all. The community has truly lost a great warrior. Sadly missed but most wonderfully remembered. May God console this family in his loving arms as he accepts David into his kingdom and presents him with his crown. Truly Loved, forever missed and looking forward to the reunion!

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Dave. I only met him once but i could tell he was super special. My other half Robbie Thacker worked with Dave for many years and considered him a very dear friend. Rob has told me many of Dave's stories. The Lord only picks the best. We are sending love and prayers!!!!
