Dug Leaser Cook Sr. of Woodbridge, Va. departed this life Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Dulles Health and Rehabilitation Center in Herndon, Va.
Born June 7, 1931, he was the son of the late Sidney Cook and Mary Evans Cook.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Cook; a son, Dug Cook Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Nyasia Murray and Joshua Cook; a sister, Minnie C. Haley and a brother, Edward T. Cook.
Those left to cherish his memory is a daughter, Teresa C. James; two sons, Christopher Cook and Antonio Cook; siblings, Ezel (Nell) Waddie (Olethia) Calvin, Raymond (Julia), Charles (Carol), Elizabeth Irvine and Barbara Gregory; and sister-in-law, Delma Cook.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale City, VA 22193. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Regester Chapel Cemetery in Stafford, Va.

Prayers to the family from my family.I had the pleasure of knowing this man many years ago.I had always wondered where he was and how he was doing only to my surprise to learn of his passing. He was a great and mighty man and I'm sorry I didn't have the opportunity to talk to him o we the years.I pray he left good memories with you all as he did my family.
