Euncie Taylor Obituary

Eunice Foster Taylor Eunice Foster Taylor, 92, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, in Lynchburg. Her husband of 54 years was the late William H. Taylor. Born in Amherst County, August 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William A. Foster and Sallie W. Foster. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by five children, Cliff Taylor (Betty), Judy Martin (Craig), Sallie Wilburn (Richard), Gary Taylor (Kay) and Rachel Davis (Jeff). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Lois Foster. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of Elon Baptist Church. The family gives thanks for the loving care she received from her daughter Rachel, son-in-law, Jeff and granddaughter, Tess during her battle with Alzheimers Disease. Special thanks also to the Centra Hospice team for their support and care. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, by the Rev. Steve Tyree at Centenary Burial Association Cemetery on Rt. 130 near Naola. In lieu of flowers, please consider Alzheimer's Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901 Arrangements have been entrusted to Driskill Funeral Chapel, Amherst. 434/946-5529.
