Frances Louise 'LuLu' Parsons Liming

Frances Louise "LuLu" Parsons Liming, 82, of Lynchburg, went to Heaven on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, surrounded by her daughters.

Born April 11, 1926, in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Talmadge L. and Lottie H. Parsons. She retired from General Electric. She loved for people to come and see her and not a single one that came ever left hungry! She enjoyed crafts, crocheting and playing bingo. She was a devout woman that loved her God, her family and her friends.

She is survived by a sister, Hilda P. Jones of Atlanta; two children, Deborah L. Burton of Herndon and Robin L. Harper of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Joshua E. Harper of Lynchburg, David E. Burton, Amy C. Burton and Brittany A. Burton of Herndon; and three great-grandchildren.

She was married for 55 years to Lawrence E. Liming until he went to Heaven to wait for her. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hartless, and a devoted friend, Rebecca "Becky" Tolley.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today, March 6, 2009, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, in Fort Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. Robert Mooty officiating.
