Dear Cobbs Family,
I am so glad I attended the Memorial Service for cousin George!! It was a beautiful and moving service. Everything the pastor said, everything the family shared, the beautiful singing of brother, Marty; it was all very touching!! And to hear that George was saved on Sunday, and then went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, what a blessing!! God bless all of you. love, cousin, Mary Jane

Dear George's family,
I am a Smith Cousin (Aunt Polly's family)! We had lots of fun as children playing in the creek, playing over at Grandaddy Walker's house. Eating watermelon, and working in the tobacco fields!! Your mother and father were good to us. What a wonderful childhood we had in those days!!
May God bless and comfort each of you. I know you will miss George so very much.
Aunt Laurie told me many times that you all came and mowed her yard for her and she appreciated all you did for her. God bless you.

Dear Cobbs Family,
Was so sorry to learn of the death of my cousin, George. We shared some great times growing up together. We always had fun when working in the tobacco with George's family. His sister, Eliza and I were born the same year and graduated together.
George and his family were great in the sports at Callands High School. My love goes out to each of the family. Cousin, Trudy Smith Payne

Dear Family,
I had the privilege of working with and for George at the Lynchburg Police Department for a number of years. He was a great mentor, a just and compassionate officer. He served his city well. My thoughts and Prayers are with you.

We send our love and sympathies to you at this time. So many memories, the trips you make to see us in Destin. Rodger has so many fond memories of George and him on the police department, service station and most recently, playing cards together.
