Joan Rolfe Obituary
Gayle an artist who was very passionate about music, nature, rescuing animals and was able to turn everything she touched into something magical and inspiring. She also was an avid conservationist, herbalist and gardener who wanted to spread awareness of the importance of protecting native wildlife. Gayle often felt like an outsider, an observer in this world who lived by her own inspirations and intuitions, which those who met her were either mesmerized or galvanized by her honesty and purity of spirit. Gayle was an empath who felt the pain of others and would do anything to bring comfort and peace, she truly was a beautiful enigma.
After a long and painful illness, Gayle finally became a "Free Spirit" on September 25, 2023, leaving behind those she cherished, daughter Melanie Danielle Kerschbamer and son-in law Peter; granddaughter Astrid Kerschbamer and great-grandson Jonas Jones (Jason); brothers Walter Creasy and wife, Betty of Gretna and Daniel Boley of Bedford; and beloved sister Ella Nichols and husband, Bobby of Bedford, along with many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life and music will be held at her residence this coming summer and date will be announced on social media or by invitation at a later date.

Memories of drinking Dr. Pepper and watching/listening to oldies in her living room when I was young will always be fond memories for me. I know she is enjoying being a free spirit and reuniting with her love. Rest easy Grandma Gayle
