Kenneth Dalton Obituary
Kenneth Burton "Toby" Dalton, 77, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born Monday, Nov. 16, 1931, in Pittsylvania Co., a son of the late George Ellis Dalton, Sr. and Elma Rowland Dalton. He was also preceded in death by a brother, George "Johnny" Dalton Jr. He was a retired employee of Rubatex Corporation and was a member of Bedford VFW Post # 2157 and Bedford Elks Lodge # 2844. He was a harmonica player with the Peaks of Otter Band.
Surviving is his wife, Gaynelle Manley Dalton, and two sisters, Louise D. Reynolds of Altavista and Madeline D. Bennett of Hurt, numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Michael Grishaw of Bedford.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford, with the Rev. Floyd Gross officiating. Interment, with military rites by American Legion Post 16, will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Updike Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bedford.
