Lillian Welch Hicks
Lillian Welch Hicks, 79, of Manalapan, N.J., formerly of Evington, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006. She was the wife of the late Edward Thomas Hicks III.
Lillian was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Grainger County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Henry Leroy Welch and Melissa Frye Welch.
She was a devoted homemaker and loved gardening and spending time with her family. She was a Methodist by faith.
She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Ann Roberge and her husband, Ken, of Manalapan, N.J., and Carolyn Jeannette Murphy and her husband, Rick, of Breinigsville, Pa.; and one granddaughter, Danielle Marie Roberge.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at Tharp Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Gerde officiating.
