Lynn Scott Herbert

Lynn Scott Herbert, 63, of Huddleston, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at his residence, after a long courageous fight against Cancer. Lynn was born in Warren, Ohio, on Jan. 27, 1947, a son of the late Helen and Wayne Herbert.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Herbert.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 40 years, Loa May Herbert.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 458, Moneta, VA 24121, or the Good Samaritan's Hospice, 2408 Electric Road, Roanoke, VA 24018.

A memorial service celebrating Lynn's life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2010, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 13596 Moneta Road, Moneta, VA 24121. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford.
