Mark Carwile Obituary

Mark Dennis Carwile

Mark Dennis Carwile, 54, of Rustburg, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, following a three-year illness.

Born in Lynchburg, he is the son of Aubrey William Carwile and Norma Riley Carwile, of Rustburg.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey W. "Bill" Carwile Jr.

Mark was a retired mechanic from C&S Repairs and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Bryan Carwile, and wife, Connie, of Rustburg; a sister-in-law, Jonell Carwile Worsham, and husband, Mike, of Rustburg; nephews and nieces, Scott Carwile and wife, Leah, of Rustburg, Matthew Carwile, of Lynchburg, Tara C. Neville and husband, Jessie, of Hurt, Amy C. Hanson and husband, Craig, of Long Island, and Robert Carwile, of Rustburg; a special cousin, "Aunt" Lelia Myrick, and husband, Ed, of Daleville; and five great-nephews and nieces.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 18, 2010, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Michael Miller.

The family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 5662 Red House Road, Rustburg, VA 24588.
