Mary FERGUSON Obituary

Mary Estelle Ferguson

Mary Estelle Ferguson, 78, of Lynchburg died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born March 23, 1930, in Appomattox County, she was a daughter of the late Joel Bernard and Mary Doss Ferguson and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Rosser and Betty Edmonds, and two brothers, William and Alfred Ferguson.

Mary is survived by one son, Danny Ferguson of Lynchburg; one brother, Raymond Ferguson, also of Lynchburg; and three sisters, Ruby Lupshu and husband, Mike, of Lawrenceville, Phyllis Angel and husband, Conway, of Brookneal and Nancy Woods and husband, Jack, of Appomattox.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, in The Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg by Mr. Mike Lupshu.

Whitten Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Park Avenue Chapel, is serving the family.

I came to know Mary at Guggenheimer over the past two years. I am saddened by her passing. She was a kind and loving person. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
