Minnie Kelly Snell

Minnie Kelly Snell, 81, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007. She was a native of York, SC, and the last surviving sibling of three brothers, Marvin Kelly, Melvin Kelly, and Marion Kelly; and one sister, Marie Kelly Lawing. Her parents were Jonas R. Kelly and Annie Horton Kelly. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, James H. (Jim) Snell, sons, Larry Snell and his wife Hope of Forest and Charles Snell and his wife Lori of Moorestown, NJ; one granddaughter, Laura Snell, and three grandsons, Jake, Thomas, and Ryan Snell. Minnie was saddened by the loss of her only daughter, Carol, who died as a result of an automobile accident in 1982 at the age of 29. Minnie was a longtime resident on Oakland Circle, Beechwood Hills, and in 2003 took residence at The Summit retirement community on Enterprise Drive. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. in Virginia Memorial Park with the Reverend C.
