Robert (Randy) Randolph Riddle

Robert (Randy) Randolph Riddle, 62, of Lynchburg, went to be with The Lord, on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his residence after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wade Riddle.

Born Oct. 22, 1948, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Gladys Beaver Riddle and the late Harry Sheldon Riddle. He retired from the Waynesboro Fire Department after twenty-two years of service. Randy loved being a fireman and helping others.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Barbara Breeden and husband, Gary, of Verona and Kathy McDaniel and husband, Jeff, of Staunton; four daughters, Tammy Marshall and husband, Lane, of Lebanon, Pa, Rhonda Beeker and husband, Michael, of Greenville, S.C., Jennifer Riddle and Randi Riddle, both of Lynchburg; one son, Aaron Hall, also of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Tyler and Caleb Marshall of Lebanon, Pa., Ada and Baby Beeker, who is due in February, of 2011 of Greenville, S.C. and a very special father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Arlene Wade, of Evington.

A celebration of Randy's life will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Chaplain Gary Major of the Waynesboro Fire Dept. and the Rev. Miriam Dakin. Interment with honors by the Waynesboro Fire Dept. will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
