I had the honor of knowing and working with Sally for 30 years at the National Archives. We were both diplomatic archivists and good friends too. She was and will always remain a wonderful person. My heart goes out to her husband and to her family.

Sally was one of the most delightful and happy human beings that ever walked the face of the earth. Her innocence and radience warmed and charmed all that met her. I am happy that I was able share a few years of my life with her and her family. Thanks for your help with my book...

At the National Archives where she worked for a number of years, Sally's energy, radiant smile and zest for life stood out, as did her delightful sense of style. I can see her sitting at a table on the cafe terrace, looking up from a book, to say hello with a smile that was remarkable for its warmth and a twinkle of delight in her eyes. She caught and focussed sunshine into everyday life like a magnifying lens. Thank you for sharing sunshine and your zest of life with us all.
