Sam is survived by his wife of Tina Lane of 35 years; sons, Samuel Lane and Chris Lane (Jillian); daughter, Ashley Lane; sister, Shirley Morton (Wayne); brothers, Everett Lane (Bonnie), Marvin Lane (Phyllis), and Hillary Lane; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Following his request, there will be no funeral service. A visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, Friday, February 10, 2023, from 3 until 5 p.m.
