Steve, you were so happy the last time we talked. You told me about how in love you were with Susie and that ya'll were planning on getting married. We even laughed and talked about you getting cold feet but you knew that Susie was your soulmate. May you rest in peace. Susie please have comfort in knowing that Steve was very much in love with you. May he always be with you in spirit my friend.

This is to Steve and my Wade’s Family, it is with deep sadness that we have last our dear Nephew and Cousin Steve. Right now my heart is heavy, but knowing you are in better place no more pain and no more sorrow I can except that. I can hold on to our last conversation that we had on January 14th, 2010 discussion our family reunion and how you would be so happy in meeting some of your cousins that you and I haven’t seem before. You were so excited and hoping that Wayne, Minnie Pearl and Crystal would take part in our family function. You know that Mary and I will miss having you at our family cookouts. We will miss your smiling face and your dreamy eyes. I can recall that you were the only one on your team that ran track with no shoes in high school, we can recall the time when you, Robert, and James got into an accident. we can recall you hanging out with your cousins playing basketball in back of your Aunt Sylvia’s house, hanging out at Mitchell ‘s, the time you visit us in DC, it is so many things that I recall that I will never forget just like I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET MY COUSIN STEVE. Gone but not forgotten. Say hi to the Wade gang. One more thing I have no one else to say Hello Cousin Sylvie. So I say till we meet again Love Ya

My heart goes out to everyone. Steve has touched our lives in one place or another. May it be with a smile, a joke or him laughing and fishing with his friends. Please try and remember the good times that you shared with him, keep him close in your heart and he will always be with you. May God watch over the family and friends during this trying time. The Lord called him home to be with his family on the otherside no more pain, no more suffering and no more tears shall he have to shed.
