Tammy Balderson Obituary
Tammy, 63, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lexington on June 10, 1961, she is the daughter of Alice Smith "Jackie" Vest and the late Emmett Lee Vest.
In addition to her mother; she is survived by her loving husband, Chris Balderson; and her son, Ryan Balderson.
Tammy was a dedicated teacher, having taught at Lynchburg City Public Schools for over 10 years. She also shared her passion for education by teaching pre-school at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Day School. Alongside her husband, Tammy was a longtime member and officer of the Lynchburg Hillcats Booster Club. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and daughter.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Butch Grow officiating.
