William Epperson Obituary

William Algeris Epperson

William Algeris Epperson, 74, of Otey Street, Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008, at his home.

Mr. Epperson was born in Campbell County, Dec. 3, 1933, son of the late Leslie Eugene Epperson and Stella Clay Epperson. He was of the Baptist faith and a former employee of Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation.

He is survived by five brothers, James Epperson and wife, Janie, of Lynchburg, Herman Epperson and wife, Jean, of Rustburg, Norman Epperson and wife, Linda, of Danville, Walter Epperson and wife, Gail, of Fredericksburg, and Morgan Epperson and wife, Nancy, of Gladys; two sisters, Judy Cook and husband, Carroll, of Lynchburg, and Evelyn Cook and husband, Glenn, of Seneca, S.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Epperson, and a sister, Margaret Reynolds.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, in Henderson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Charlie Harbin, with interment to follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal, is in charge of arrangements.
