My name is Louis , i live in Uganda East Africa in a town called Jinja , it is so hard to believe that uncle Bill went to be with the Lord , i have not been on computer and social media i think for the last two years or so , because my emails were all closed and i lost all contacts i had with uncle Bill, i met uncle Bill and his wife Karen in February 2010 when they had come to visit with James and Marilyn Bumgarner , i personally drove them wherever they wanted to go , i just cant forget interpreting for uncle Bill in all the schools we went to to do the uncle cousin show , uncle Bill personally impacted my life spiritually , and helped me through the course of life and more so when i told him about my organization that i had started , he was so much into helping me get funds to help the children so much , so today i get onto my computer wanting to message uncle Bill to tell him of how i met this special woman and that im trying to work out things to get married and all i come to is this message of His death , im so hurt , im praying for aunt karen and family that God will strengthen you and know that i love you guys so much .

I met Bill, Karen at Word of Life camps, Wiseman´s Ferry, NSW, Australia, way back when - I believe one of their first trips ... maybe 25 + years ago. What an absolute blessing Bill (and Karen) was. I think of them often and the difference they made in my younger years. The letters and prayers we exchanged as the years went by. Jobs come and go, children get older, homes moved and everything in between.
Thank you Bill for the love, encouragement and time you gave to me; a lost, lonely teenager, not sure where life was taking me.
Your guidance and love for Christ will be something I hold close and treasure always. Rest with our Lord now, your job here is done.
Love and thoughts with the family xx

What a faithful servant of Christ! Of the many memories we have with Bill and Karen through the years with his amazing model railroad and love the the NY Yankees. But the one that sticks out to us is when we ministered together with him in Tanzania at a conference for the missionaries there. Bill and Karen did such a great job sharing Christ with the children and Bill kept the kids glued to his stories with Uncle Cousins. While there we visited the people in a Maasai village where Karen and my wife Susan were recruited to do a traditional wedding dance with the village women - what fun! We laughed and kidded about that scene for years! Bill will be greatly missed but we look forward to see him again in glory.
