This month is more difficult than most, in a few weeks it will be 3 years since your death my beloved son...I feel constant heartache and loss, so hard to feel joy without you in our lives. I miss you so much Adam and yet I am surrounded by you in our home, your room remains untouched, frozen in time, waiting for you. Every morning I wake up and open my eyes and the pain is consuming, it's like re-living the horror over and over. We have a candle in the bay window for you, it's been lit since the day we buried you and will remain so, I hope you can see it from heaven my son. I love you, forever, miss you, forever.

It's been almost 10 weeks since your death and I can't believe that I continue living and breathing without you in my life. I carried you for 9 months and when you were born I was the happiest mother on earth. Freddy and I became parents on July 4, 1986 and you immediately became the focus of our world. I don't know how to be a mom to 2 children, I am the mother of 3 wonderful children. My heart is shattered and I feel profoundly sad every minute of my life since your death...I love you and will miss you forever my special and only son---Irma, mother of Adam, Felicia, and Brianna

Adam, I wasn't ready to let you go, no one was. So many words left unsaid, words meant to be spoken that never were. But it wasn't the words that mattered--what little we exchanged--it was the little things, the little glances from across rooms, the fact that you always picked up the phone when I was too sick to get it myself. I wish I could've been there for you as much as you were for me. It's too late and I'm sorry for that. You better enjoy yourself up there in the stars and the cosmos before I come up there and crash your party, bro. See you again someday, ashes to ashes, stardust to stardust--Love your little sis, Brianna.

My beloved Brother,

This broken heart just won't mend,
I'm looking for a way to escape from reality,
To escape,
these beeping horns and these panicked faces;
and going back to the days when we were just kids.
No responsibilities, no regrets
free from karma, pain and a ruptured heart.
Guide me back to a place,
where life was still pure
and our minds were so young.
Back to a place,
where smiles weren't so rare; but rather,
came by the bunches, those similar to a dozen red roses.
Back to a place,
where we used to play in the streets until the sun
exploded across the sky.
And still in the end,
we'd all stay up all night
Trying to catch the fireflies.
It feels as though you've been hiding,
"hide and go seek";
and we're the "seekers"
You were always a great "hiding ninja".
Only this time we can't find you.
So won't you come out again and break the dawn,
And let those freshly cut green eyes light up our world again... <3

Adam will always be remembered as my handsome younger
cousin with the good looks, warm heart and lots of personality.
He was born on the 4th of July and it was not coincidence.

He was reserved but very approachable, fun and caring. It is
a TRAGIC loss to the entire Fenty Family. I will think of you and
celebrate your life in my own way. After learning some of our
favorite things, some will become my favorite things.

I wish that we had lived closer and knew each other better.
I am sending my love and condolences to my grieving family.

I will say a prayer that you rest in peace.

Your cousin,
Kisha Monique Fenty

My son was 23, he never got married, he never experienced the joy of having children or had enough time to succeed financially in life, but what he did succeed at was life; because of all the friendships he made throughout his life. Friends he made in elementary school, friends he made later on in life and friends he made at work .For all the love my son gave and the love he received in return from family and friends my son is my hero and I am very proud of him. Love you for ever. Dad

To my dearest friends , as a parent I could not begin to know the pain you are feeling at this time. In the past two weeks a day has not gone by where I haven't asked why this has happened to such a loving and wonderful family.I've had to reach into my faith and believe without a doubt that Adam is in the loving arms of our father, and looking down on us with his absolutely beautiful smile..As I attended his services it was quite obvious by the attendance ,Adam had touched many lives.I'm sure through all of those hearts he lives forever..I love you like my own blood family and if there is anything I could do for you never hesitate to call on me. You are forever in my heart, love you always... Janet L. Hart, Staten Island, New York

My precious first-born, I felt your spirit and loved you from the moment we knew we were expecting a baby. My gentle, loving boy, so full of life, kind to animals, loving of nature, gifted photographer and excellent bartender. My heart yearns for you my son, forever broken. I don't understand why this has happened... I miss you, I love you. God bless you my child, rest in the loving arms of God the Father until one day I can hold you again...one day I will look into your beautiful green eyes and feel whole.

Dear Irma, Freddy, Felicia and Brianna,

Words can not express the sorrow and pain we all feel for the loss of your beloved Adam. I wish you much comfort and peace during this time of sorrow. I also pray and hope that the fond and precious memories you have of Adam will help you gain strength to continue with the road ahead in your everyday lives. I remember a picture Audrey shared with me where Adam was with Ray's niece in a Sweet 16 photo or a prom photo (I don't recall) and I remember telling Audrey how handsome he looked. That is the picture I remember. Audrey always spoke so highly of all your children. We are all suffering with you. God bless!!!

Many, many blessings!
