Steve and I went to the cemetery yesterday to wish you and Mommy (who will be 99 on Wednesday) a happy birthday .
Then we went to dinner at one of your favorite spots - Piccola
Bussola.
As always the conversation included "Squatty" stories. And as always we end up laughing and missing you. But we´ll always remember.

Hi Dad
Billy and I were adding and subtracting and figured you were gone 17 years. You came up in conversation just this afternoon as you often do. We were looking at old photograph albums and Jeni, Billy´s wife, saw several pictures of you. She was amazed by your beautiful head of silver hair. We all spoke about you for awhile, smiled, felt sad you weren´t there with us and then happy we had so many memories of you to share with each other.

I´m in the airport getting ready to fly down to Hollywood. So I´ll sing a little birthday song to you from the Florida place tonight.
We´ve missed celebrating 17 birthdays (that can´t be right but I was never good at math) since you left us - 17 dinners at Picola Busica.

I was thinking of you as I was getting stuff ready for a BBQ tomorrow. Steve is the main Dad and Mitch is a Dad. We´ll celebrate them tomorrow.

Miss you. You have a new great daughter born May 11 2022. Angelena Theresa she is perfect. Katie is a great mom. The family name of Theresa will never be forgotten. We have a Doctor in the family now. Billy´s daughter Jessica but I´m sure your sister Josie told you that. All your grand children are doing great they are healthy happy and doing well. Krista and Ryan sold there house. I'm sitting in your Florida Apartment. I remember coming for a visit every year. You would cook your sketties and meatballs and I would clean the mess in the kitchen with Aunt Marge. It's now been 11 years since our visits together. But I feel closer to you when I'm here. The memories stay strong. I love you and miss you -we all do and always will. ❣

Making your sauce and nonnie's meatballs for the whole tailgate on Sunday. I'll make sure to have some paisano with the peaches for you. Mom and I try every year to replicate your clams on pre-Christmas, but they never do quite come out the same. God only knows what you put in the mix.
