Arleen Probeyahn Obituary

Arleen Probeyahn

Words cannot express the grief Michael and I feel since you've been gone sweetheart. Forever in our hearts. xoxo Arleen, beloved bride for fifty years of Roy. Adoring and devoted mom of Roy, Jr., Michael, & Glenn, her 3 loving sons, with Autism who she raised at home until her passing. Arleen was a fierce advocate for them and other children and adults with similar disabilities her entire adult life. Roy, Jr. passed 4 years ago and recently her baby boy Glenn and brother Jack Wolsiefer, who all are now at peace with her. Arleen's passing marked the end of an era of unprecedented improvement in the quality and quantity of services available for folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She tirelessly strived to achieve this, in a partnership alongside Roy, all the while focusing on caring for our three sons at home. Arleen held the professionals who educated and worked with our sons in the highest esteem and was ever their champion as well. Family and friends speak of her as a Great Lady, with an indomitable spirit, a no-nonsense attitude, a joy for life, and her irrepressible sense of humor through it all.
