Raymond Bangs, Arthur Steven
Bangs and stepfather of Christine Nelson and Barbara Cahill. Dear step-grandfather of Meghan and Matthew
Cahill and Gwendolyn Carfora. Dr. Bangs practiced general dentistry in Brightwaters for over 47 years, was a member of Suffolk County Elks Club and Southward Ho Country Club. Dr. Bangs was an avid painter, golfer, guitar player and fisherman. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.). Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday 9:45 AM at St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Bay Shore, NY. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Visiting Sunday 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

Dr. Bangs was my Dentist for many years, during the time I lived in Bay Shore. I met him while in my 20's, and saw him regularly during my 20's and 30's. I am now soon to be 74 yrs old. I have so many beautiful memories of his lovely house, where he had his office on the ground floor. His wife, Jeanette, was his receptionist, and the loveliest of people. "baby" Janine was always running around, and I enjoyed seeing her. Thanks for the memories to a wonderful man and a great Dentist. His paintings were beautiful, and I loved seeing them around the office area. A time that will never be forgotten in my mind. My deepest sympathy to the family.
