I served with Bruce in VA-106 from 1963 to 1965. I actually remember him as a very nice guy. I was not with the Squadron during the Forestal tragedy. But I've read how heroic Bruce was. My condolences to his family and friends.

I remember Muggs as pure football player. He could tackle in the classic way - dip his shoulder into the
runner and lift the poor guy off his feet and lay him on the ground. Good hands and a great
blocker- A tight end before the term was used. A natural athlete. Wonderful human being.
