Carmela Figlia Obituary

Figlia - Carmela (Mollie), October 22, 1928 - December 17, 2024, Mollie was born in Easton, PA, and raised on the Lower Eastside of Manhattan. In 1950, she married Anthony

Figlia. They had two sons,

Anthony Figlia Jr. and Michael Figlia. In 1964, the family

moved to Greenlawn, NY.

Mollie worked at the Northport VA as a purchasing agent until 1998. In subsequent years she moved to Odenton, MD, and then to Suwanee, GA. Mollie was one of six children, her sibling are Joseph, Charles, Thomas, and Sal Garafola, and Josie Cassone. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Annie and Bobbie Henry and Dana and Matthew Figlia;

three great-grandchildren,

Alexander, Charley, and

Bradford. She was also loved by 31 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at Robertaccio Funeral Home in Center Moriches on Thursday, January 2, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at 9:30am, on Friday, January 3, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Center Moriches. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery.
