Charles Raven Obituary

RAVEN-Charles J., retired from both the New York State Troopers and Grumman Aircraft Corp., passed away on September 14, 2003 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. He was born Mary 18, 1909 in White Plains, NY and predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-three years, the former Greta Brayton and two daughters, Barbara Ann Raven and Nancy Curley. Mr. Raven, a former resident of Baldwin, NY is survived by two daughters, Pat Lewis and her husband Don of Evans, GA and Linda Seidel and her husband, Dan of Los Altos Hills, CA; nine granchildren and six greatgrandchildren. he was a member of the Hiawatha Lodge F. & A.M., Pleasantville, NY. the Spartan LLodge F.& A.M., Baldwin, NY and the Lodge of Georgia F. & A.M., Martinez, GA. Visitation will be from 3-5, Sunday, September 21st at Weigand-Penza Funeral Home, 2283 Grand Avenue, Baldwin, NY with a Masonic Service at 4:30. Interment will be at Ferncliff Cememtery, Hartsdale, NY, Monday, September 22nd at 10 am. In memory of Mr. Raven, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 12502 North Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-9499 or your local Multiple Sclerosis Society.

I will never forget Uncle Charles.The days spent with him as a young boy at Indian Point will live in fond memories forever. He was a person you never forgot. You always looked up to him.
