Clifford Burwell

BURWELL - Clifford R Burwell, Clifford R., 90, of Somers, NY, passed away November 27, 2017 at Regional Hospice. Cliff was born April 23, 1927 in West Haven, Connecticut as the only child of the late Clifford and Helen Burwell. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Midway during WWII. Cliff was an accomplished banker and worked for Citibank for 40 years. Cliff was preceded in death by his son Richard and daughter Barbara. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hope, his children Cliff (Denise) of Lake Grove, NY, Hope (Tom) of Yorktown Heights, NY, Brian (Desiree) of Mesa, AZ, and Jean (John) of Yorktown Heights, NY, 16 adoring grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Cliff will be remembered for his devotion to his family and his sense of humor, which stayed with him to the end. Afghanistan Banana Stand. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Thursday, November 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 1st at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY Interment will be on Monday at St Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
