Diane Plotke Obituary

PLOTKE - Diane Stephanie passed peacefully in Danville, KY on December 26, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Douglas S. Plotke and Rita E. Plotke-Wadey and her youngest of eight brothers and sisters, Stephen D. Plotke. Diane was born on September 18, 1946, the eldest child and graduated from North Babylon High School in 1965. She went on to a long career in the mental health field in the late 1990's. She was an avid homemaker and gardener, taking those skills to her home in Kentucky to raise goats on her 120-acre farm. The geese and ducks meant to live on her small pond thought they were house pets and often would gather near her front porch. She often took on the matriarchal role with her younger siblings; Douglas Plotke Jr., John Plotke, Donna Plotke Augusto, Rita Plotke Schoon-over, Kathryn Plotke Edmunds, Caroline Plotke Giorgio, Ralph Plotke, as well as her only daughter, Stephanie Giordano, her wife Dolores and grandson Lucas. In total she leaves behind 15 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. Diane was a beloved member of the family and her loss will be greatly missed. There will be a memorial service held at the Sayville Congregational Church, 131 Middle Rd. Sayville NY at 1:00 pm June 3, 2018.
