Edward Thomas Kennedy

KENNEDY - Edward Thomas, 93, of Babylon, NY (formerly of Merrick, NY and Rockaway, NY) died peacefully and with family on November 21, 2018. Ed was the beloved husband of Tania Zdan (who predeceased him in 2016), the love of his life for almost 70 years. Ed was the devoted father of son Eugene Robinson (Marie) and daughters Joan Salerno (John), Laura Mariotti (Artie), and Elizabeth Carozza. Cherished grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 2. Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was also proud of his 45-year career at the New York Times, which culminated in several impactful years as a public speaking coach for the sales team, showcasing his years as an award-winning Toast-master. Most importantly, dad had a loving and kind heart, a gentle and caring soul, and a true desire to make people laugh. Private service and burial at Calverton National Cemetery.
