Elizabeth Sawyer Obituary

SAWYER - Elizabeth Frances , loving mother of Edward F. Lyons and daughter-in-law Sue of Leesville, SC and Donald R. Lyons and daughter-in-law Jean of Fort Worth, TX passed away July 11, to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Elizabeth was born in New York City on November 5, 1919 to Elizabeth and George Hafner. She attended PS 121 and John Adams High School in Queens, NY. Elizabeth was not only a loving wife and mother but also a loving grandmother to Stacey Ann and Donald Robert Lyons, Fran and Susan Lyons, and a loving great-grandmother to Rachel Miller, Jenna and Jaycee Lyons, and Christopher Lyons. Known as Frances to her friends and family, she worked as a sales representative for Nemo Corporation and as a receptionist for Deutsche Bank in New York City. Viewing will be on Tuesday July 17 between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Leahy McDonald Funeral Home Atlantic Avenue at 111th Street Richmond Hill, NY. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens, NY.
