Frank was one of the most competitive track athletes I ever coached. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing a couple of weeks after the accident 12 years ago. The Walt Whitman coach offered me his condolences when seeing me at The Armory in the middle of January. He said he couldn't remember the athlete's name but was sure it was a Brentwood athlete that I coached. I believe that I was able to find out it was Frank by going back over the obituaries that were published in Newsday and a published account of the accident. My condolences to Norma, Frank Sr., John and the rest of the Gorman family over your loss. I'm pleased to see that you folks are keeping Frank's memory alive by publishing this memoriam. If memory serves me well, I recall that your son John was also badly injured. I'm glad to see that he has recovered and become a father. God bless you all and keep you safe!
