Plunkett III - George W., February 21, 1948 - September 16, 2025. Suddenly on September 16, 2025. Predeceased by his parents, George Jr. and Melanie; as well as his brother, Michael Patrick. He is survived by his family: sisters, Melanie Connelly and Jeanine Wolfinger; brother-in-law,

Glen Wolfinger; nieces, Kristen

Rutkowski (Dennis), and

Kaitlyn Maehr (Michael);

beloved grandnieces and nephews Abigail and Colin

Ruthkowski and Sutton Maehr. Proud "Uncle Geo" to Jack and James Rutkowski as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. George loved growing up in Rosedale, Queens but found a second home in Bayside where he had a plethora of friends. A member of Delta 1/7 USMC. He served proudly in Vietnam. Service as follows: Sunday, Sept. 21, from 4-8PM at the Branch Funeral Home, 190 E. Main Street, Smithtown, NY. Mass 11:15AM at St. Patricks R.C. Church, Smithtown, NY. In lieu of flowers, Donations in his name to Tunnel 2 Towers or Wounded Warriors Project will be greatly appreciated.
