Gladys A. Schlegel

Schlegel - Gladys A., Age 95, passed away peacefully on November 1st 2025 in Georgia. Born in New York City, she lived in Queens and finally settled in Hauppauge, NY with her husband of 58 years, the late George Schlegel to raise their children. They retired to Holder, FL where they lived until George's death in 2011. She will be greatly missed by her son, Wayne and daughter Ellen (Galaway), sons-in-law Eugene and Edward and granddaughter Shannon. She was a devoted aunt to Nancy Renda, Valerie Whalen, the English and Vanderbosch families. Her hobbies included cooking, crafting, decorating for every holiday, and volunteering at Make a Wish and hospice. She was at her happiest cooking family dinners and helping others. Everyone who knew Gladys was touched by her kindness and loving ways. Services private.
