"Theeeeeeeeeee Yankees win!"
Opa, we're world champs. I wish you were here to celebrate with me. But you are in a better place. All of your pain and suffering are over. I'd like to thank you for everything you ever did for me. I won't ever forget what we did together and what you taught me. I miss you, I love you, and we will meet again, someday.
Love,
your grandson, your pal, your friend forever,
Philip

Herb,
I will never forget you. I know you are no longer suffering and that helps the hurt. You are an amazing man. You welcomed me into the family, treating me like a son. Whenever I needed help or advice, I knew I could count on you. As a grandfather you made such an impression that all my nieces, nephews and kids' friends call you Opa. I learned alot from you about life, being a father, homeowner and husband. I know you had alot more to teach and will miss our conversations. Thank You for everything from the bottom of my heart. I love you and will see you again someday. Rest in peace.
Love, Phil
