James Campbell Obituary

Campbell - James, 87, of Garden City, New York passed away on September 30, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Arlene, daughters Lorraine (John), Arlene;

(Peter); and son, James (Beth); eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He served as President of Manhattan Savings Bank, NYC (later HSBC) and Director of Lincoln Savings Bank. He was a trustee at Molloy College in Rockville Centre for 12 years, including eight years as a Chairman of the Board. He was elected as Chairman Emeritus after. He served on the Board of Directors of Winthrop University Hospital for 15 years. He was a Knight Commander of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Services will be held on Thursday, October 2 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, NY, with a funeral Mass on Friday at the Church of St. Joseph in Garden City, NY at 9:45 am. A burial will follow the Mass at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Old Westbury, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Molloy University or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
