To the Kane Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. I met Jimmy in 111 Pct as a new sergeant in 1987 and we became friends. After retiring I recall a plumbing job at your house in Mt Sinai. Today in the October NY 10-13 mailing I was shocked to see Jimmy's name. God Bless you all.

To the entire Kane family I am so sorry for your loss. I have been friends with Jimmy for over 30 years. I met Jim in the NYPD. You could always count on Jim with his contagious smile and laugh. If you were having a bad day you could always count on Jim with one of his jokes to cheer you up. Jim was always there to offer his help ,He was never to busy to lend a helping hand and share his vast knowledge. He was a great cop, a great person and a great friend .I miss you terribly but I am happy and proud to have known you. You truly were a great friend and I am a better person for have knowing you. You will always be in my prayers and my memories. God Bless and rest in peace you will never be forgotten. Your friend Frank Beaury

Thank you all for sharing your memories and kind words about my brother. He was a bright star who burned out far too soon. I will miss Jimmy's smile, quick wit and ability to make everyone laugh. I know he is in a better place and watching over us all. Rest easy my dear brother, you are home.

Jim, Rest In Peace. To the Kane family, My sincere condolences. I have known Jim since 1976 when we both worked together at Entenmanns Bakery. We both went on to work in NYPD and I have spoken with Jim over the years and we would always reminisce about all the good times we had while working together. I was just thinking about Jim about two weeks prior to his death and was meaning to call him as it was my turn to make the call. It was still on my mind to call him when I heard the unfortunate news. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. Jim, I am going to miss you, your friend Joe Tavares

To the entire Kane family I am so sorry. I never met Jimmy but I felt as if I knew him. Debbi would often say to me, "You and Jimmy are so alike"...and because of that, I felt that kinship and I feel the sadness today. My love and prayers to you all. Take care Jim and fly with the angels.

To Diane, Stephanie and my Cousins,
So many years have past. So much distance. Lives lead so separately...But Jimmy was a rare man. A big, sincere heart from the time I knew him as a boy. No one can explain the way in which we are called to the next life, but called he was. He rests in God's loving arms- no finer place to be. He rejoices with those gone before him. Blessings upon thee, Sweet Cousin. Thank you for sharing our world. You are never forgotten. Love and hugs to all,
Laura
