MELIS MILLS - Jeanne The Reverend Frances Jeanne Melis Mills (UU) died Feb. 2, 2016. Born Oct. 18, 1942. Grad 1960 Garden City (NY) Senior High School; Bucknell University, 1963 (Kappa Kappa Gamma). Masters of Ed. Columbia University 1965; enlisted in the Peace Corps to teach English in South America. MBA from Simmons College, Boston 1983; Masters in Divinity, Harvard 1997. Jeanne worked as an interim minister, helping churches through times of transition, including the Unitarian Universalist Church of Huntington from 2003-2004. A woman of great energy, diverse interests and much accomplishment, she will be missed by those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Mills of Centerport, NY and Sara Mills of New York City; grandson Henry Benson Mills-Whittelsey; brother Richard and wife Marilyn; brother Gerald and wife Gwendolyn; sister Darleen and husband Irving Ingraham, M.D.; sister Carole Melis, Esq.; nieces and nephews Heather and Brian West and children Kipp and Hadley; Kay Melis Pannier; Adrianne and Keith Melis; Leah and Alexander Ingraham.
