Byrnes - John J. "Jack", 92, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of Lindenhurst, New York, passed away at home on November 3, 2022. Beloved husband of

Marlene to whom he was married for 70 years. Loving father of Jack (Angie), Chris (Anne), Pam (Peter), and David

(Christine). Cherished grand-

father of twelve and great-

grandfather of five. Granduated from Manhattan College in 1952, with a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting. Postgraduate studies at New York University. Proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserve from 1952 to 1961. Worked for Pfizer Pharmaceutical for 40 years, first in Accounting and then in Purchasing. Grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he met his wife, Marlene, who was the love of his life. Will always be known for his love of family, and his passion for sports, especially the NY Giants, NY Mets, and NY Islanders. Avid golfer, who played well into his late 80's. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Johnston's

Wellwood Funeral Home, 305 N. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst, NY 11757. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, November, 14, 2022, 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Lindenhurst, NY. Interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
