John Deis Obituary

DEIS - John Michael , of Stuart Draft, VA (formerly of Oakdale, NY), on May 29, 2007, at the age of 69 after a long battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease. Proud Veteran and longtime employee of Pan Am Airlines. Beloved husband of Maureen. Loving father of Dawn (Eugene), Robin, John (Karris), Thomas (Jamie), and Robert. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Kate, Jaclyn, and Will. Devoted brother of Doris, Carol, Lillian, and Geraldine. Visiting, Sunday 2-5 and 7-9PM at the Overton Funeral Home, Inc., 172 Main St., Islip. Funeral service, Sunday 7:30PM at the funeral home. Interment, Monday 10:30AM, LI National Cemetery, Pinelawn. In lieu of flowers donations in John's name may be made to the ALS Association, VA-DC-MD Chapter, 7507 Standish Place, Rockville, MD 20855.
