John Henry Obituary

HENRY - John P., 74, of Orangeburg, NY died on August 9th. Survived by his devoted wife, Agnes (Betty) (nee Heneghan) of 51 years, six children: John (Carroll), Mary, Thomas (Christine), Daniel (Maureen), James, Martin (Catherine) and 12 grandchildren. Survived by his brothers: Michael, Fr. James, Martin (Patricia), and Thomas (Ann). Predeceased by his two sisters: Helen Henry and Mary Higgins. John retired as Chief of the New York City Housing Authority Police Department after 32 years of service in the NYPD. Reposing at Moritz Funeral Home, 98 Route 303, Tappan, NY on Tuesday, August 12th from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass at 11am on Wednesday, August 13th at St. Catharine's Church, Blauvelt, NY. Burial at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to Birthright of Rockland County, 257 S. Middletown Rd, PO Box 306, Nanuet, NY 10954 or to United Hospice of Rockland, Inc., 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
