MURRAY - Fr. John Patrick on January 4, 2013 of Massapequa, NY. Ordained May 29, 1954. 1st Assignment St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Massapequa, followed by other RVC Diocesan Parishes. Faculty of St. Pius the X Prep.Sem. 1958-1964 and Chaplain of N.U.M.C. for 22 years, 1980-2002. Loving brother of Agnes Annunziata of Fl. Cherished uncle of Chris, James, Brendan, Ann and Mary, and dear friend of Sister Maureen Chase, O.P. Reposing at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, 3863 Merrick Rd. Seaford (2 traffic lights east of Rt. 135) Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 11 AM at the Queen of the Rosary Mother House in the St. Albert's Chapel, 555 Albany Ave., Amityville, NY. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Donations to Sisters of St. Dominic, 555 Albany Ave. Amityville, NY 11701, Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 89 Hiddenbrooke Dr. Beacon, NY 12508 or Good Shepherd Hospice 245 Old Country Rd. Melville, NY 11747 would be appreciated.

I knew Fr. Murray at NUMC in the early 1980's where I was an administrator and am saddened to hear of his passing. I am pleased tht he continued to work there for 22 yrs. I will keep him in my prayers.
