John Prianti Obituary

Prianti - John Jacob,

September 23, 1935 -

January 30, 2022. John Jacob

Prianti, the sixth of eleven children of John and Angela

Prianti, was born in the

family farmhouse located

on Jericho Turnpike in

Commack, New York. John and his siblings were raised

in that very farmhouse with

John attending Commack

Elementary School and

Northport High. John was a devoted son who grew up

helping his parents operate

their fifty-acre farm. Raising and training beagle hounds

throughout his life, John

became a lifelong member of the Long Island Beagle Club. He was also a well-respected Judge of beagle field trials,

traveling widely along the East Coast in that pursuit during the course of more than four decades. John met his wife of fifty years,

Murial Eppler Prianti, who

predeceased John by five months. They had resided in Commack, New York, for many years. Together, they bred, raised, and trained beagles.

The couple later purchased a farm in Brewerton, New York, where, continuing to raise

beagles, they lived out their lives together. Survived by six brothers and sisters and a great many nieces and nephews, John was a kind and gentle person, a

gentleman in every sense of the word. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
