I only heard about this 10 minutes ago! I'm so sorry to everyone close to him. He was a really good and giving friend! It's strange because he popped into my thoughts often over the last 5 days, and I thought of stopping in the pub for the game on sunday. I guess it's better I didn't. So sorry I missed his wake and I hope somehow he knows that. I will miss!

We went back many years and reconnected again a few years ago when I moved back to Oceanside. Johnny always had a smile on his face, so glad to see you. I enjoyed our talks and will truly miss your smiling face, you were such a good soul... RIP

I met John many years ago (over 20) when my Mom and I frequented the restaurant for lunch. John and my Mom would talk recipes and he would always spend time with us and greet us with kindness and smiles. I then found that John and I shared many mutual friends and we became closer. John was so sincere and caring when I told him that I lost my Mom a few years ago, and he has always held a special place in my heart. I am shocked and deeply saddened by his passing. My heart breaks for his Mom and Scott. I wish there were words to take away the pain. John will be sorely missed and remembered with love.
