John Suttie Obituary
Miller (John); and nephew,
Michael Kinsella (Mary), whom he helped raise after the untimely passing of his sister-in-law, Delores. Also survived by his nephew, Rick Kaler
(Michelle); nieces, Patti Elwelll (Kenny) and Karen Kaler; along with 10 grandnieces and nephews; and nine great-grandnieces and nephews. John proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, then worked and retired from the NY Telephone Company. He then put his time and devotion into the Locust Valley Fire Department for 67 years, serving in many positions including Chief of the Department. Visitation on Friday, October 11, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, at Whitting Funeral Home, 300 Glen Cove Ave., Glen Head, NY 11545, with Firematic Service at 8 PM. Burial on Saturday, October 12, 10 AM, at Locust Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Locust Valley Fire Department.

Rest in peace , John . You were a good man, a good firefighter, and an asset to the community. I enjoyed the softball games, bowling tournaments, trips to the Fireman's Home, and best of all I had the privilege of serving in the Locust Valley Fire Department with you. God speed, my friend.
